Flight Dispatcher

In the Aviation Industry, one of the most technically qualified staff is the Flight Dispatcher.

The Airline Captain and Flight Dispatcher normally share the major decision making and responsibility for the safety of each flight. To do this, the Dispatcher must possess the Aircraft Dispatcher’s License which is issued by the D.G.C.A. and only to students who appear through an airline or a D.G.C.A. approved institute. The Dispatcher License is in many ways, equivalent to the Airline Captain's, Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. The aeronautical knowledge requirements are almost the same as that of a CPL.

Airline Flight Crews and Flight Dispatchers receive extensive aviation training in areas such as Meteorology, Advanced Flight Planning, D.G.C.A. Regulations, Aircraft Systems & Performance, The Air Traffic Control System, Instrument Approach Plates & En route Charts, Global Navigation Systems and Emergency
